A world of it’s own. As I sit and watch the Matrix with Mike (he’s never seen it…can you believe that?!?) I realize how far the World Wide Web has expanded and developed… even in the 12 years since 1999…a-mazing.

Most people meet on dating websites or facebook, but in their own original style, Daniel and Nicole met, in all places, a political chat room! You just have to love it! I’m not very much of a political person myself, but I will admit that I’m opinionated…that probably counts for something.

Although Nicole and Daniel didn’t have a true wedding party (aka bridesmaids and groomsmen), there were many friends and family that radiated unconditional love and appreciation for the couple. Neither has had an easy or necessarily comfortable life, and it’s a testament to God’s love and faithfulness that they found each other and fell in love.

Nicole and Daniel, I wish you the very best in this life. Continue to let your light shine!

I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect and I signed up less than 2 weeks before the event…needless to say I was stressing a little bit! Luckily I have friends in high places who love me very much and are always there to help me! Meg donated half her house so I could decorate my area, Clint donated his fabulous screen for my slideshow and Hope came and helped me set up and monitor! Thanks friends!

It was actually a lot of fun meeting lots of women (and men) in love! I loved asking each bride how she met her fiances and what she loves about him. I’m always intrigued to find out what their favorite parts about planning their wedding has been…almost unanimously the answer was finding the dress! Hello!?!? What about the photographer? :)

I was able to meet some incredible wedding vendors. Check them out!

  • Joe at Runaworks Studios was my “neighbor” and is a fabulous videographer.
  • Mose & Shekita own a hilarious photo booth called  OMG Booths.

I’ll also be announcing the lucky bride who won the complimentary wedding photography soon!!!

If you haven’t noticed, I’ve shied away from photographing any weddings recently. Not that you could blame me, of course. I mean, like I really wanted to be at your happy, joyful wedding whilst I’m mourning my dreams that got flushed down the toilet!?! (ps-I’m a widow if you don’t know me yet…my incredible, amazing husband died tragically on 7.16.09).

What I’m trying to say is that I’m back in the game! I’ve built up enough emotional stamina…I’m excited…I’m joyful…I WANT to be there for your most important day!!! It’s time to spring forward into wedding season–”forgetting what’s behind and straining toward what is ahead I press on”…Phil.3:13 (ps-this doesn’t mean I’m trying to forget about Spencer, duh).

pss-I want to thank the brides (and grooms) who were extremely patient with me during the time Spencer got very sick and subsequently passed away. Thank you for understanding the cause of the delay. Your graciousness will surely be rewarded.
