It’s amazing to me that exactly one year ago yesterday we were celebrating Spencer and this year we are “remembering” him. Time has taken on this whole new meaning…this new force. In some ways that day one year ago seems like it was just yesterday and in some ways it seems ages ago. Life is so uncertain, so vulnerable.
Yesterday’s Memorial Service for all the students & faculty that lost their lives at UGA was short and sweet. As each student’s name was read, a candle was lit and the bell tolled.
Many of our friends and family members came out…and even two professors from his major. Thank you to everyone who did. It made me feel loved and I know it made Spencer feel loved as well.
