thankful thursday

I thought it would be cute and totally dorky to have a day each week where I just tell you what I’m thankful for…because, there are truly so many things. Perhaps I might add a couple things I’m not thankful for as well…you know, just for fun.

This Thursday I’m thankful for little treasures found around the house when you least expect it. On Tuesday I was searching for Spencer’s journal that contained his bucket list and found this wonderful surprise instead (ps-I’d never laid eyes on this before):

How do you not miss a man that writes stuff like that?!? Spencer always had a way of making me feel like the most incredible woman ever… ~sigh~

Thanks God for my special gift this week.

What are you thankful for?

PS-say a little prayer for me and my friends: we’ve got this duathlon in Charlotte on Saturday morning:)

I can tell from Spencer’s writings that his love for you was deep and real. How very lucky you were. How very sad you didn’t have years to concentrate on that beautiful love.

Wow. What a gift – both the time you had with Spencer and the fact that you “found” this amazing note/prayer.

Wow. What a gift – both the time you had with Spencer and the kiss you received in stumbling across such an amazing note and prayer.

Very inspiring. He was always so spiritual and focused. If anyone ever found my writings after I am gone they would find all kinds of stressed out whiny stuff. I love that even when no one was looking that he just had things on straight. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Thanks for sharing a personal and beautiful note from Spencer. A reminder to tell people specifically what we love and admire about them.
